TfS releases Activity Report “Driving change | Delivering results”
TfS released the Activity Report “Driving change | Delivering results” which presents the TfS achievements of the last year. Says TfS President Jennifer Jewson ”As we close another year, our shared mission—driving sustainability across global supply chains — is more critical than ever. With the clock ticking on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and mounting climate challenges, bold and accelerated action is no longer optional. It requires the dedication of the entire TfS community. Reflecting on what we achieved together in 2024, I am confident we are on a promising path to make significant progress .”
Below are some of the highlights of the report:
- Launch of Accelerate4Impact, the TfS strategy 2030
The Accelerate4Impact strategy will enable TfS to drive faster and achieve measurable progress toward sustainable chemical supply chains. Initiatives for example include Excellence Groups to target specific improvements tailored to the needs of members; a stronger focus on digitalisation and the implementation of new KPIs to enable the TfS membership to surpass our targets meaningfully.
- TfS Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) programme
TfS published the third version of the PCF Guideline, ensuring consistency with the changing requirements of the industry and standards for PCF and Scope 3 accounting calculations. TfS also launched the PCF Exchange solution. Powered by Siemens’ SiGREEN technology, this solution enables TfS members and suppliers to safely exchange upstream product carbon footprint data. It allows businesses to conduct cross-industry comparisons and compile and manage their emissions across all three scopes
TfS successfully engaged with stakeholders to raise awareness about the TfS PCF Guideline. Over 80 associations and initiatives have been approached across all regions where TfS operates.
- TfS Assessments, Audits and Action Priority Dashboard
TfS launched a pilot for the Data Transparency project, which combines the efforts of the TfS Assessment and TfS Audit Workstreams to create a centralised repository.
The Action Priorities Dashboard enables the TfS network to focus on common actions by utilising available data. Its objective is to improve due diligence by prioritising emerging topics based on their urgency. In 2024, water management and biodiversity and waste were added to the list of topics.
The Future-of-Audits initiative has streamlined auditing processes for stakeholders by introducing an updated audit protocol that complies with current legal and regulatory requirements. This ensures efficiency and provides a basis for meaningful improvements and reporting compliance.
