Launch of the Public Consultation for the PCF Verification Framework (v 1.0)
Together for Sustainability (TfS) and Catena-X announce the launch of the public consultation phase for the PCF Verification Framework (v 1.0). This groundbreaking framework is designed to enhance the reliability and transparency of Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) data across automotive and chemical supply chains. Developed through a unique collaboration between these two initiatives, the framework aims to build trust among customers, investors, and regulators by ensuring that PCF results are consistent with recognized standards.
The PCF Verification Framework offers a structured approach for verifying PCF results and datasets, or certifying PCF programs within a company. It establishes a common PCF data model and exchange format, crucial for accurate data sharing across supply chains. The framework introduces three levels of trust, each with its own procedures, purposes, and scopes, providing clear guidance for companies, verifiers, and certifiers.
We are now seeking feedback on this important document. The public consultation phase will be open until December 20, 2024. We invite all stakeholders to review the framework and provide their input.
Kindly submit your feedback. On the dedicated landing page, you will find the following resources:
