TfSLATAM is invited to present the TfS initiative during the Supplier Management and Sustainable Initiatives webinar, organized by the Cooperation for Sustainable Development Department of the AHK Deutsch-Brasilianische Industrie- and Handelskammer. The webinar will take place on 16 September 2020 starting at 4pm (Brazil time).
The webinar represents the 4th episode of the Carbon Management series. Representatives of German companies BASF, Evonik and Volkswagen will discuss the importance of supplier management in a sustainable production chain and present two initiatives: Together for Sustainability and Drive Sustainability. Speakers from TfS LATAM are Flávia Benatti – Process and Compliance Coordinator – Evonik, and – Raphaela Di Iorio – Quality Management and Sustainability Ambassador in Procurement – BASF.
Supplier management is one of the most important strategic themes of an organization, being the best way to manage the possibility that third parties affect the quality of its product / service, promote environmental liabilities and compromise the reputation of its brand. Management ranges from an initial selection to monitoring its performance and improvement measures – furthermore, the supplier must comply with legal and statutory requirements imposed by environmental agencies.
The AHK Deutsch-Brasilianische Industrie- ind Handelskammer – Câmara de Comércio e Industria Brasil-Alemanha – located in São Paulo represents approximately 800 member companies of various business sectors including the chemical sector.
